Can't thank you enough! From fiddling and twiddling with my camera
functions in semi auto mode, I was using manual mode within minutes and walked out at the end of that session fully confident to
never use auto again! Small groups gave me lots of individual attention
and built on my confidence. The information sheets you give each week

It's impossible to express
how much I enjoyed and
valued my photography course. I have to admit that I was not sure what to
expect and was extremely nervous at
the prospect of getting to grips with all the technical aspects. I need not have worried. You both instantly put Jean and I
at ease with your kindness and patience. Very quickly you gave us confidence to believe that we could learn the skills that would enable

Thanks
for giving me the confidence to develop my
photography skills.…Never would I have imagined that with such little
teaching I would have the confidence to switch my camera to fully
manual. The one thing that really sticks in my
mind…The “right way” to press the shutter release button – The
simplest and most effective thing.

Here's
a photo taken when I was in India. I tried to make the subjects look more
interesting using the techniques I learnt from your course. It was tiring
getting up so early but it had to be done to achieve the best results.

absolute joy and pleasure to be encouraged and guided so gently. It lead
to a discovery of an inner creativity which imparted a joy in expressing
the interpretation of something quickly seen into something with meaning,
depth and an understanding of how the ‘magic’ works!

weeks I have been given all the tools to use my SLR in manual mode with
confidence! I now know that I can capture all the important family

was initially concerned that we would spend a long time talking about
shutter speeds and f stops with which I am already familiar but in fact
the bulk of the course was on attempting to take good pictures and
analysing what worked and what didn’t.

Thinking
of myself as an experienced amateur these classes challenged me to explore
subjects and techniques that I would not have thought about otherwise and
they have helped me enormously in thinking more creatively about making
